The Conqueror was filmed in southern Utah right after the atomic bomb tests in Nevada and radiation clouds got sent all over Nevada and Utah. Many of the cast and crew of the film later died of cancer.

There was a Hong Kong made Chinese TV drama about Genghis Khan, starring Felix Wong, that I would quite like to see. I suspect it's probably rife with wuxia elements but I tend to find this type of drama more enjoyable for it, even if it isn't *strictly* historically accurate...

I doubt a man who spent years bringing this movie to screen would have purposely ignored the archery. Like Longshanks said in Braveheart, "Arrows cost money. Send the infantry."
