I'd like to also note that Pearl Harbor with Ben Afleck is the worst WWII moive ever concived. | I'd barely even call it a movie. Anything with Ben Affleck and/or Kate beckinsale is probably trash anyway | | |

Then comes The Pacific. I liked this one, but had read enough that from the outset I knew that the movie was screwing with us from the outset. At least three of Tom Hanks' scenes on the beach came from three different books. That's why I like BoB so much. Pretty much everything you see is true as it was experienced by real individuals. And it's still an awesome story.

The only good part in my mind was the very beginning, adn that was it. | It isn't a great movie, just as I don't buy into all the Band of Brothers hype. But
SPR just stuck up on WWII movies.

I'd like to list a movie that I haven't seen listed: not great, but, enjoyable. "Valkyrie" <2008>

I know I'm probably in the minority here and I love everything about WWII, but I found both Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers to be boring.

The riveting story behind Enemy at the Gates or the power of Downfall loom over those two examples and cast a long shadow...
