Anna Karenina

How do you like the new Anna Karenina?
I really enjoyed it even it was pretty unconventional version but i dont liked Keira too much. She was not too persuading in this movie.
I liked her in Zhivago but definitely not here.
Levin-Kitty couple was much better.

Haven't watched it yet, but I definitely will just because of Keira Knightley. I think that kind of roles suit her very well since she made a stunning performance at "The Duchess" which had a similar plot like "Anna Karenina" although with notable differences.

I really liked the Anna Karenina version with Sean Bean and Sophie Marceau.

I tried reading the book but I never get to pass the first chapter

Reading the book and writting review was my school duty and trully it was pain when i was young. But i really enjoyed the movie 2 decades ago and i came there voluntarily.
Sophie is great actress and this role was better for her. Bean as Vronsky is also good idea.
In the new version Vronsky reminding me the playboy guy from Twilight movies somehow.

I might see it, I don't know. Seems Keira Knightley loves playing Russian characters ever since she played Lara in Doctor Zhivago.

I can't wait to see it, Anna Karenina is one of my favorite books of all time. I wanted to re-read the book beforehand, but I didn't have time because of school. :\

It's been criticised already often - and I vehemently back it up - that Vronsky is not a curly blond-headed 'poodle', but dark-haired and dark in look (though I'd say not in attitude, for sure).

That said, I must admit I'm quite keen on watching it; much more so, at any rate, than Luhrmann's interpretation of Great Gatsby.
