Can any of you recommend any other good "Viking" video or movies. I have seen the 13th Warrior but not much else rings a bell. Please no Marvel references, I'm looking for more historic depictions.
Try 'The Vikings' with Tony Curtis and Kirk Douglas. Its a very silly action/adventure movie and im not sure how historically accurate especially Curtis' Bronx Viking accent but its great fun and if you cant stamp your feet and go 'woot!' during the oar running or the tree attack you arent human

Watched the first and second episode of Vikings last night - In my opinion this is the best TV series I've ever seen on the history channel. Great stuff!

I've seen the first two episodes today. Actually, I don't know what to say, series like series is pretty intriguing, but I'm not sure about it's historical accuracy. However, I find it interesting and I've enjoyed in first two episodes. At least this is far better than Swamp People, Storage Wars, Pawn Stars and other similar bull craps.

I can't understand how people in a history forum enjoy downright crap like this?
If you enjoy action/fantasy you can find better impact on other material.

Different people have different tastes in films. We don't all view films for historical accuracy. Sure, it's an historical film, but the acting was pretty good imo; albeit cheesy in parts. The film is a guilty pleasure, at least for me.
