300: Rise of an Empire

As if the 300 wasn't enough there's going to be a sequel in 2014:
300:_Rise_of_an_Empire 300:_Rise_of_an_Empire
Something tells me that the Persians are going to be depicted like this:

Apparently it's going to be about Salamis and will focus on Queen whatsherface, Artemisia I think. If it brings a little bit of historical knowledge to the plebs I'm for it, although it's obviously a Western propaganda film against those evil and nasty people from the Middle East Iraq/Iran.

from what I heard, the director is an over-patriotic Israeli so it is rather doubtful that either the Greeks or the Persians will be depicted favorably, apart from maybe the Spartans

The first one was unhistorical but entertaining and learned quite a bit on Persian history from the films critics. So it all worked out evenly in the end. Why should the sequel be much different.

Personally, i am kind of cautiously interested in how the Persians and Arabians portray the West in their media. I can only assume it is far more worse than how films like 300 had portrayed them. But i don't know for sure.
