17th and 18th Century Europe

I'm currently studying the Age of Reason and the Enlightenment period in European history, and I'm trying to come up with a list of movies that took place roughly around this time period. I'm not interested in movies that took place in America, or have anything to do with the new world (not because they are not interesting, of course, but simply because I've seen most of them!).

I'm sort of surprised there hasn't been a descent movie made focusing on Louis XIV. Any movies about the Thirty Years War?

So far I have:
Queen Margot
Vatel
Let Joy Reign Supreme
Libertine
Dangerous Liaisons
Quills
Draughtsman's Contract
Valmont
Amadeus
Casanova
Goya's Ghost
Ferdinando E Carolina
Ridicule
Restoration
Farinelli
Barry Lyndon

The above list reflects our obsession with aristocrats, clearly. Anyone have any recommendations or comments for me? I imagine the list could potentially go on forever, but does it look like I've missed anything really good? I'm trying not to spill too much into the 16th or 19th centuries, but if the movie is good enough I might not mind.

Last Valley?
Eastern Europe gives us "Taras Bulba" "The Deluge" "Fire And Sword"
If You're counting "Margot" then you should include the two "Elizabeth" movies, "Gunpowder Treason and plot"(Tv movie) "Plunket and Maclean"(18th century England at it's best!) "Tom Jones" "Where's Jack?"...etc.

Hey, thanks for the tips. The Last Valley looks good. It will also be interesting to see something about Eastern Europe during this time period.

How about the French Enlightenment? I'm surprised there have not been costume drama's centered on this period, though I suppose intellectuals don't make for juicy drama. Voltaire's life, though, would probably make for a good movie. I'm surprised French cinema hasn't made a lot of movies about the period. They clearly are not as obsessed as the British and Americans with doing film adaptions of their history.

There is also a spanish movie, Captain Alatriste with Viggo Mortensen, who takes place under the 80-years war 1568 - 1648 between Spain and Netherlands. Viggo actually learned spanish to participate in this movie.
