Primary Sources pertaining to the inevitability of the civil war?

I am currently working on an assignment where I am working to prove that nothing could have been done to stop the Civil War. However, I have hit a stump.

I currently have primary sources of the Dred Scott case, Uncle Tom's Cabin and the compromises related to slave/free states.

I however, really want to find include primary sources of succession and some prominent northerners who supported the war. I would really appreciate it if i could be guided to some of these sources!
