WWII

can someone tell me the lasting effects of WWII on American life at home
primarily the sacrifices women made?
and how women working at factories madeway for thefeminist movement in the late 60s and 70s?

I already got an introduction

In 1939 the world was plunged into darkness when WWII began In 1942 American troops began fighting in the conflict the war was not fought on american soil but still had a profound effect on those who lived through the war culturally and.......(im stuck)

Women were affected the most by the war and had to make drastic changes
and sacrifices in order to contribute to the war effort

i just need details and then i can put it in essay form

Not only did it get moved...but you don't have enough information for us to help you. You need to come up with more. I would like to know more about the sacrifices made by women in the war. What examples can you find? Also, what profound effects did the war have on our soldiers? Sometimes finding the bits and pieces of each subject you write will open the floodgates to a lot of good and useful information.

Re: WWII

I have some suggestions for your intro.

"In 1939 the world was plunged into darkness when WWII began"

"plunged into darkness" sounds like something out of Lord of the Rings. I don't really think it's an appropriate phrase to use for a historical time period. I would use "crisis" instead.

"In 1942 American troops began fighting in the conflict the war was not fought on american soil but still had a profound effect on those who lived through the war culturally and......."

You begin your sentence with "In [year]" just as you did in the previous one. You also end the sentence with "the war" and begin the next with "the conflict." That's something you should avoid.

Re: WWII

Women made numerous sacrifices during the war effort and a simple google search will reveal a number of sources for research (excluding wikapedia which I personally deem somewhat unreliable).

Personally, this section is the first one I browse when I log in hoping that there is a fellow student that I can help. I can offer you help, but not until you meeting the criteria set forth by the moderators. I'll give you a hint though. There is one particular famous female propaganda figure that you can research that will offer you considerable information for your topic and I haven't seen you mention her which leads me to believe you haven't put much effort into your research, as of yet.

I don't believe Comet met any offense. The mods have made it that people asking for help need to show some work they've done. They don't want people to join, just post the assignment, and then members to answer it (basically doing their work for them).
