France 1900 - 1914

This isn't homework, but I'm researching to write a novel. I'm 16 and school doesn't satisfy all my history needs :P
So I have this questions:

In France, specifically Paris (1900-1914)...
- How did the poor live?
- How did the people in generally live?
- Was there a rich or poor majority?
- Did women have rights back then? How were they treated?
- What about children? Was there an education? What beliefs did they teach them?
- What jobs did the poor have? the middle-class? the rich?
- Which job gave the most money, the most prestige?

- What happened to people after the big flood? Where did they go?

- Were there requirements for soldiers? For the war?
- Did they have benefits? Did the family have benefits?
- What did they think of war? Were they aware of its causes?
