Well, I was pretty ignorant of what exactly went on during the period of say the mid 1700's to the early 1900's, until I bought this DVD called "The Indian Wars". The American Indians really, in the end, got the short end of the stick. Me being Caucasian, if alive back then, would probably have joined in the slaughter of the Indians like all the other white expansionist at the time, but now looking back I see how the Indians got screwed over bad.

The reservation system is a joke. They lumped them all up on territory they really did not want to live on, basically because the government really did not have any interest in the reservation land either. They give them government checks and say, "there you all go, now its all better".

I would say the Seminole Indians, down in Florida do a little better than most others, basically because they are the Seminole Nation. We used to live down by there and that is why I say that, but to sum up my opinion on the matter, they seriously got boned over so the rest of the nation could expand and have a place to live. JMHO.
