Exclamation Decline of Roman Empire

Hello all,
I really enjoyed the stuff discussed in this forum and hope you keep being creative….
I want to post you a question, if someone can help.
I'm doing a research about Roman Empire throughout different ages and I want to ask about the decline of Roman Empire with a special reference to Egypt at that time (if possible), can anyone help?
Please, provide me with some info, with reference to the source books or links to add them to the research index.....

Thanks soo much in advance

Well, Comet
thanks so much for replying....
I know some little information about this topic, that's why i 'm seeking more...
I've learnt that its split into eastern and western empires governed by separate emperors had caused Rome to fall. The eastern half became the Byzantine Empire, with its capital at Constantinople (modern Istanbul). The western half remained centered in Italy. The fall lastes more than a century.
And I believe, Comet, that there are more than one reason behind this decline: such as Christianity, decadence, lead, monetary trouble, and military problems.
And this is the source of my words..

Please i wish to know more if you all please

Re: Decline of Roman Empire

The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire has been argued about for centuries. This forum provides a set of E-books, including Gibbons' epic work on the subject (at least it was last time I looked ). You could look at that and then compare it with a more modern viewpoint with say Peter Heather's "Fall of the Roman Empire: a new history"

I have to say the link you posted is a bit 'basic' to say the least.
