Political note on the board left by US History teacher -Utah school

This was left by the permanent teacher and has been up since the election. I saw it when I was subbing last week at a public high school near Salt Lake.

"If you are Mexican, Muslim, Mormon, gay, transgender, disabled, female, an immigrant...
I will stand with you and I'll always stand up for you.
Hang in there. Practice kindness.
Your future is still bright.
Ms. -----"

I think this kind of partisan hackery is unacceptable in our schools, from ANY political persuasion. This teacher is insuating that all students who are not straight white males are threatened by the new president. It is obvious where the teacher stands politically and is trying to sway her students.

(I don't get the "Mormon" thing as this state is majority Mormon.)

Thoughts......?
