I like that also. Because it requires research and independent study. And requires the use of analytical thought. and...probably a bunch of other stuff too.

And it will get the kids attention when a teacher actually says " for extra credit, go watch a movie". I will have to think that one through a little.

ah nevermind, I saw your location, Ohio, do you have tests similar to the NYS regents exams?

so you have to teach to the test also huh?

that's too bad, if teachers were left to their own devices I think students would learn a lot more.

Actually I am not allowed to see the test. I have some "helpful study information" that really is as good as a submarine with a screen door. I do have to take a little time out of the year to prepare a little.

yeah, but generally they all have the same information every year, or at least that is how it is with the regents.

if you want a students point of view on things don't hesitate to ask, I was valedict., graduated early, but that's because I have a stalwart memory. But, I still understand my (former) classmates very well.
