Thank you very much HistoriasMapas for the feedback and I could not post a link either. I am hoping that students use the videos but I do not think enough people know about them. Very good job on the mapping video I like your style. Please post more videos

I created a YouTube channel too, about History and Maps (check it out: ).

Do you see teachers or students using your videos? Wondering the kind of impact to expect.
This is wonderful, keep up the good work. I've never seen maps video's with such a format.

Thank you both Historyen and EmperoroftheBavarians43 for the kind comments on the video. I'm hopping to produce more but indeed it seems not so many people know about them - by the way, you can subscribe to the channel here (I think): http://bit.ly/2tV6kR4 and see new videos.

Hope you continue Historyen, I'll be checking the page.

Really glad you like it EmperoroftheBavarians43. Feel free to point out any omission. Uruguay's history is not very well known but truly fascinating!

Biggest thing I'd think you missed that they seem to take pretty seriously down there is the Graf Spee sinking but I can totally understand that not being objectively super important. I just remember they were selling all sorts of Graf Spee merchandise when I was a little kid there(puzzles, models etc). They really take pride in not letting the Nazi's into Montevideo and forcing the crew to scuttle the ship.

In terms of history I acknowledge it's a mere trivial detail in the naval military history of WWII(which is already not one of the most reviewed topics of the war ) but for such a small country it's an example of punching far above their weight and doing something of note during the war when so many small(but larger) nations in Europe couldn't stand up to the Nazi's. Like with the World Cup wins it's an example of Uruguay punching far above their weight.

Thank you for the detailed response! I actually thought of including it, but indeed ended up considering it wasn't such a significant event in the History of Uruguay, I'll consider revising it.

I also feel I could have included more on Artigas, but it's hard to synthesize it all in a short video!
