Not quite. According to Surgeon Beatty, "In his dying moments, Nelson’s breath became oppressed and shortly afterwards he uttered his last words, 'Thank God I have done my duty'." Capain Hardy was not present at his death. The "Kiss me, Hardy" was said from earlier, but these were not Nelson's last words. It's a myth.

Anyway, how has a thread on the High Middle Ages or Renaissance get so sidetracked?
