Iran is not Arabic nation.

By population and military size its Egypt, by GDP and overall influence i would say Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia by a long way. They own a sizable chunk of the US economy and the president too when the Republicans are in power.

Why Iran is not an Arabic nation?

Because it's populated by 'Persians', not Arabs. It may have been conquered here and there, but they are still Persian in the main.

The Saudi's are co-owners to all pragmatists who don't wish to rock the boat in both parties.

The only major difference is to those who push alternative fuel.

Aside from some nice previous answers, just check out this curious thread on an almost comic nationalistic dispute over the name of a gulf: http://www.historum.com/current-even...sian-gulf.html

If Iran is mentioned it has to be currently I guess? I'm guessing Saudi Arabia, a dictatorship backed up by oil and the USA? Sounds like the strongest nation around currently.

As the others have already mentioned Try going to Teheran on a sunny summer day, go to a crowded marketplace, climb a stand with your megaphone and yell: HELLO MY ARAB FRIENDS (or anything that points out blatantly 'you-are-arabs'). Preferably have someone with a hidden video camera installed. Film it all. Post on youtube. 1 000 000 hits!!! (hope you live though).

But seriously, many Iranians don't seem to take kindly to being associated by default with Arabs, kinda like Turks don't like to be associated with Morrocans.
