Hello! Varied Interests in History Here.

Hey! I've been searching for a community to just talk about specific historical subjects and this seems to fit. So, here I am!

I'm ADC from North America, most specifically from the South. I read historical romance, run a historical collaborative writing forum (basically, historical forum roleplay), and love everything from weapons to flora/fauna discovery of an era. I'm here because I have super specific interests that I want to explore and learn about. I hoped to find people who have resources, info, or the joy of chatting about those specific things.

Those things are:
- Coopering in 18th century, particularly the type of wood imported/exported in East India harbours that could be used for dry and wet coopering. I love to find out about everything from Colonial American coopers to England's oldest cooperage traditions.
- Parsi Communities in India, and in Visakhapatnam district in particular. This is my newest obsession. I've been hoping to find more information on how Zoroastrian merchants were part of the triangle trade between India, China, and Britain.
- BEIC in India, and in Visakhapatnam district in particular. This one might be a tad bit difficult to know where to ask questions about because it's one part military, one part trading empire, and a huge chunk of it is political/territory conquest in nature. Even more so that I need to know about this in the late 1790s.
- Antiquarians and archaeology in India in the 18th century. At this time, there was the Asiatick Society of Bengal, as well as the European societies, so I've borrowed a little from that. I've created a fictional group of adventurers exploring the Eastern Ghats and have been researching how a group of archaeologists, naturalists, illustrators, etc would be cobbled together for an expedition. This info is ... sadly vague.
- Finally, I have an old and continuing obsession with Romany culture, most particularly in Italy and Spain. One of my characters is a half-gypsy hailing from Spain.

Very excited to meet you guys. Thank you for having me here.
