| | Hello onto all!
My purpose for registering to this forum is one of selfish reasons, I suppose. I'm an up and coming writer of sorts, and have a desire for historical information, not fabricated mind you, about the inhuman treatment of Native Americans, particularly the Cheyenne, Creek, and Arapaho tribes, under the times of Jackson. Information online covering the massacre at Sandy Creek is, at best, rife with falsehoods, and my gut feeling tells me there is more to it.
I want to be clear about one thing; I do not plan to write a historical, to the letter, book. However, my hopes are to write a gripping and terrifying historical-fiction. A saga of sorts. A book I hope to carry a long way over the centuries of brutal treatment Natives endured.
With that said, any information or recommendations of books I can use to help me along my way, would greatly be welcomed.
