Merhaba from Istanbul

Merhaba from Istanbul..

I v found this site while searching something about Asian Gunpowder Empires; Ottomans and Mughals.. I liked posts and decided to register. Discussions are quite informative and the tone of writers are also kind.

I am a graduate student on History. My subject is Presence of POW's in Istanbul; Imperial Capital of Ottomans in the early modern age.

I am strongly interest in history of Istanbul. From beginning till today. And also i am interesting in Mughal Imperial Capitals, Delhi/Agra. And relationship/networking between these cities; Delhi/Agra and Kostantiniyye (Istanbul)

So.. Pleased to read something here..

Thanks for your welcome..

Muvakkit or Muvaqqid means time keeper or timing master. A root of a word is vaqt/time. And i inspired by a couplet poem in Ottoman Turkish..

Welcome Muvakkit. I like your interests, seem to be similar to mine. The Ottoman and Mughal Empires were the powerhouses of their time.

Exactly Shaheen. They seem to be similar. And i also found out this forum from google searches which directed me to the "Ottomans vs Safavids vs Mughals!" subject. Actually i need some examples as an "Imperial Reflect" of these tree. and the discussion subject made me well pleased.
