I think the origin of hate is fear from something that It might damage what you valued.

On the other hand, what if you have cause and effect reversed? What if hate causes love? (Just to be obtuse!)

In reality, the concept is too simplistic. Humans have a HUGE array of very complicated emotions, any of which could be said (not necessarily correctly) to be caused by or have its origins in any other. I think it's way more tangled than that.

There are lots of different reasons:

• Secret and in admitted jealousy

• Fear, which can cause resentment

• Righteous/Justified anger at evil, or for revenge

• Genuine Bigotry

It could be for more than one reason

I'm sure there are more, but most of the time, it's probably combinations/variations of that.
