Smith was a professor at the University of Glasgow and a tutor to the scions of the wealthy, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society, and, in addition to Wealth of Nations, wrote The Theory of Moral Sentiments which was very important in his day and is well worth a read today.

Darkpearl, where do you get the idea you posted on this thread?
