Thanks for the outline Gaius. Sounds like I will have to do far more reading beforehand to apprehend the topics discussed in these books, many are quite new to me.

You are saying politics and economics are not ideas? You obviously are speaking of idealism in the Hegelian sense. Perhaps you mean intellectual history instead, or the progress of ideas rather than events.
