2) Yes, humor can be learned as almost anything else. So can philosophy, which Coburst has done. So there's hope for him & all of us yet!
3) Agree with Niezchshe, but overall, by my readings of philosophy, they seem like a dry lot.
Harry Frankfurt's "On Bulls***" Anyone read that small but important work? There's humor in the whole concept & he seriously runs with it. | | |

Take a gander at
Schopenhauer: not dry at all. Especially his essays.
John Dewey: not as funny as Schopenhauer but very readable.
Bergson wrote a book on humor. I smiled now and then but not with him. But that is true of all books that try to dissect humor, interesting but the patience dies in the process.
Haven't read Frankfurts book. Did read one about the Burger Court tho. | | |
