There really is nothing to brag about. With 7+ billion braggarts in the world self deprecation is not only a virtue but bestows the very blessings of peace itself.

That's ok, if it works for you. However, if we don't appreciate "the little things" what can we appreciate? That's why bragging is good, if its not excessive. "Excess of anything is bad."

To a certain extent, we need to sell ourselves to get ahead. Of course, we should't sound too arrogant, but promoting ourselves is part of competing in the job market.
