Procrastination

Do you procrastinate often, never, always?

Procrastination Procrastination

I think we all may be guilty of procrastinating sometimes. But some people procrastinate a lot, from the simplest tasks to the most important.

Do you think procrastination is a sign of something else that could be affecting the said person? Or is it just laziness pure and simple?

I'll answer that question tomorrow...

No seriously, I procrastinate all the time, but it's because I work better under stress and against deadlines.

Maybe for some people, procrastinating, is waiting for that swift moment what makes you do your task in an 'urgent mode'??

I probably speak for others as well when I say it boils down to task avoidance behavior for me and it depends on my mood.
Sometimes I wait until I can do the most with the least effort. (The Mrs, needless to say, does not always understand this logic...)
Sometimes it is the burst of energy one gets when the deadline is looming. Some of my best papers in college and work reports now were written that way.
On the other hand, there are times when my 'get-it-over-with' streak is very strong. When I was a kid I made an almost religious habit of eating the yucky vegetables first.

I think you just described me. I think I am very similar. Sometimes I do something right away to get it over with, other times I put it off then rapidly do it with full attention, then sometimes sheer lack of energy causes the procrastination. I am not a hardcore procrastinator, but I definitely do it frequently enough that I am aware of it.

Curses, you beat me to it. That's what I get for putting off checking for new threads.

Good habits is learned when young. If you didn't learn good habits as a child, it is very difficult to change.

Procrastination is probably my greatest weakness and character flaw.

My procrastination usually revolves around me having to spend money.

Just think how much we could get done without the thorn in our side called procrastination?!
