That is why I always get back to this point: is someone treated differently because of their race? if yes, then it is racism.
The big oxford dictionary has a slightly different definition:
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races:

So who knows? perhaps I'm wrong.
I understand, but respectfully disagree.

I think it is all about intention and how something manifests itself. I think we all have common sense and we know when someone is being truly racist and when they just have a preference. Well, I would like to think so anyway.... who knows... maybe I am wrong. I am losing my faith in humanity at the moment anyway!

Just did a forum search.. found a thread regarding black women stereotypes, one about members' ethnic preferences in love but the one about ratios of interracial couples eludes me :x I am not very good at using the forum search. Sorry! :/

Well we will just have to agree to disagree then
Losing faith in humanity is inevitable. I myself have long learned that you shouldn't expect any intelligence from anyone and that depending on others is something that can be done on very few people
But hey, that's life

As I wrote, I did type in 'interracial couples' on Google images (which in retrospect was fraught with risk to do at work). It goes, in order:

Black man x White woman
White man x Black woman
Collage featuring all sorts of combinations
White man x Black woman
Black man x White woman
Black man x White woman
Map of marriage legislation in the US
White man x Black woman
Black man x White woman
Black man x White woman
White man x Black woman
White man x Black woman
Gabrial Aubry x Halle Berry

I'm not doing any sort of sophisticated statistical analysis here, but I don't see the bias that seems so obvious to you.

Now if you are an Asian male then you should be worried

If we want to go accusing our Google image search of racial bias, then it's definitely the Asians being singled out. 'Interracial' seems to be overwhelmingly interpreted as 'black and white'. Excluding the collage, my image search turns up no one who looks at all Asian for the first 35 images. The first Asian looking man only pops up at image 44.

I have read some of the questions you have raised here and I think you might need to learn how to differentiated between racism and "sexual attraction". "Sexual attraction" is just one of those things that can not be helped, it is a set of "criteria's" or "internal rules" which EVERY PERSON has regarding what "type" of male/female they are attracted to. As I already stated, everybody has these "rules". Some people prefer tall girls/boys, others short. Some blond, others not. For some people it even includes eye colour, skin tone, etc, etc.

No it is not. It is perfectly normal. Racism is if you consider certain races somehow inherently better and some worst. If you simply prefer some races over another it is not racism. Only in perverted minds of politically correct.

Having preference is normal, you prefer some colours over other, some food over other, some work over other, some friends, some colleagues, schoolmates, some cars etc... There is no reason why you can not prefer some races oven another.

Yes it's racism , because you're making a choice based on race.

Nothing wrong with it, there are "good" and "bad" racist choices
