If you could change the outcome of one historic event , which would you choose?


I would change the 1986 hand of god moment , it o he got disallowed and England went through

In 1916, Hitler was shot in the hip/leg/groin area.

I'd change that to having the bullet enter one ear and come out the other.

The move from a hunter/gatherer economy to agriculture led to wars, overpopulation, too much work and ultimately consumerism. That might have been a bad move. (I'm half serious)

The Mongol invasions. And especially the Mongol invasion of Persia and the sack of Baghdad. It can be argued that this event began the decline of Muslim civilisation.

The English beat the Norse at Stamford Bridge, but King Harold dies along with Tostig. So the Witan recognise King Harald Hardrada as king, and a united English/Norse army routs Duke William at Hastings. A continuation of an Anglo-Norse England would have been cool.
