In order for this to start, we need ~15 players and 1 Gamemaster (myself). The GM is using a random number generator to determine the outcome of player actions.
The game is set from early 1843 and onwards. Each turn represents 6 months and is taking a week.
The players announce here what position they want to have. Some countries do have more than one position. You send your actions through Private Message. Quote: Rules Actions General == 25 prestige = 1 action Domestic Actions == Cost of a unit: -50 Upgrade Military/Naval tech: (-100 - (+50 level)) (Improves your battle performance, the acquisition of Sounds like fun. So if you want to invade, is there like a province list or something. Also do the Govt. types give specific advantages.

If you want to invade and win, you agree with the loser on what area you will take in a peace treaty. It the loser is a NPC (Non-player controlled entity) you present your proposal to GM.
Democratic governments generally have better economies but it creates more dissent when they are arming.
I need players to the most important countries first.

How long do you expect the game to run? Or is that a silly question

That usually depends on two things.
I. If I get more workload, I might have to stop it.
II. Usually, player inactivity kills a game. People not giving in their turns.
