Let say that the modern British military and the Ancient Roman military went to war with each other. How long do you think the Roman miliraty could hold out against a modern British military.
i say maby the Romans could hold out for 2-3 days at most

A hundred Romans against a hundred modern soldiers? About 15 minutes, if that.

100 ancient Greek/Roman elite Soldiers V 100 elite Soldiers of today...
Hand to Hand... The Ancients
With weapons of the day... depends on how well the ancients can hide and on the terrain... But I'd say a day or two at the most before they are totally subdued....

Would take 1 minute for a modern machine gun to kill them all. They wouldn't know what happened.

You're not saying if they're armed or not. But going with the premise that it
is hand to hand, then I'll easily go with a modern day force.

@Guaporense: Alternatively it could take a grenade launcher even less time to destroy a formation like that.

One shot from a modern weapon and the ancient military would be on its knees worshipping the modern soldiers as gods. Lightning and thunder from their hands, anyone?
