Two Americas

What if the North did not act against the secession of the Southern state?

And it remained a peaceful secession.

How would the world be like today with 2 Americas?

Re: Two Americas

Wow. That's a tough one.

In 1860, there were 3.5 million slaves and 5.5 million whites in the states which formed the Confederacy. A lot would depend on how the slavery question was settled. The same would be true in the Union, but to a much lesser degree(in regard to Kentucky, etc).

What do you think, Kiwi? You've got more perspective from where you sit.
