they have only brought up area rocks...the object is to hard to get a sample with what they had on hand

Glacial deposit. I've seen rocks very similar to that in the woods behind my house. Interesting to look at, but ultimately nothing groundbreaking or special. It's just that many similar rocks have very smooth patterns on it that can look very man-made but aren't.

I personally hope it is a space craft. Earth's cultures would change quite drastically and quickly. That would be an exciting era to be a part of.

i hope its a spaceship too. --- then all the books in my sci-fi bookshelf will have new meaning ---
