Sorry Makes me feel old too!

It just popped straight into my head on reading Sylla's comment of course.
Please note: Prince Phillip is worshiped as a god in the South Pacific--which just goes to show how stupid the natives can be.----then again, some pop singers have a wide following.

If mankind ever comes into contact with aliens that are less advanced than us and IF they have important resources we need. All morality and modern humanism will go out of the picture.I can guarantee you similar treatment to that of red indians for the aliens will occur.Why-Its man's nature. But ONLY if there are resources to be had of course.

Apparently this white man exists in the mythos of several other Native American cultures as well. He is referred to as Virachocha by the Inca, Kulkulcan by the Maya and as Quetzalcoatl by the Aztecs.
One of the foundational beliefs of Mormonism is based on this bearded white man legend. The Mormons maintain that this man was actually Jesus Christ in the New World.

If I am not mistaken, it is also this myth that reinforces some group of people's belief in the existence of Atlantis...

There is also a recurring and widespread legend of "White Goddess" in African lore. In West Africa there was "Ngame", the writer and academic Robert Graves suggested she was a localised version of Isis as she was a moon goddess. There is Taba-Yiri of Ghana (who may be an albino), Fohsu of Benin and the fictional White Goddesses of Rider Haggard stories are based on Zulu and Ndebele beliefs in a White Nomkubulwana, or Inkosazana.
There may be nothing in this more than goddesses usually represent the moon or a star ( or in the case of Fohsu above, salt). Interestingly, when Shaka first received reports of White Men landing in Natal, he was informed that "ghosts" had arrived and were undoubtedly spirits of some kind. A similar attitude to that of Asians to palefaces.
There is an Asian goddess who is always described as white-skinned--Quan Am in Vietnam, Kuan Lin in China and Guan Eum in Korea. However most Asian societies value a light coloured skin in women.
