I think it woudn't be much different: Portugal would build some colonies in the Americas initially but soon at least France would get some too with more manpower as historically happened. But analysing the portuguese behaviour in Asia it would be interesting as probably the Aztec and Inca Empires would survive at least as portuguese vassals (as Kongo, swahili city states, etc). But the european diseases would be deadly too. In the end it would be something like 30% Portuguese, 30% French, 30% English.
