Hitler dies in 1938

On the eve of the invasion of Czechoslovakia Hitler is killed in a plane crash. Who replaces him as leader and would the invasion go ahead?

Probably Goring or Hess and yes it the invasion would have happened and Hitler to this day would be known as the greatest German leader ever simply cause he restored Germany to their "previous" power. I doubt WW2 would have happened to the extent it did but I could see the invasions of Poland and France still happening but not operation Barbarossa as Hess and Goring were both opposed to the idea. Even though they were communists and "subhuman". Cause Goring and Hess were both named as the new leader ship in the event of his death. Yeah sure the SS Reichsfuhrer Himmler would have wanted control but he would not have gotten it neither would Goebbels as they weren't nearly as popular as Goring was at all. The people in Germany genuinely liked the Reichsmarshall. Himmler was known as a cowardly little man and Goebbels was made fun of constantly because of his club foot along with the joke "Hes apart of the master race?". Public opinion of Hess I think was along the lines of Joe Biden today; not really hated or liked to much. Goring though was seen as a man of the people, a guy you could have a pint with down at the local pub, you could go hunting with him on the weekends and a man of eccentricity so he also stuck out from the rest of the Nazi leadership with his odd costumes that he wore that made him seem different from the rest. He also happened to be a decent speaker and very understanding of politics even though he ran the air force crappy he was decent on the home front running factories and organizing them.
