Questions about armor

So, I was playing some Mount & Blade and as you probably know, there is an armour in the game titled lamelar or something similar to that. Mostly the Kergits use it in the game. So I was wondering if this set is based on a real life armor, or if it is ficticious?

It is a real type of armour, and it's OK posting it in this section;

The armors are all real in Mount and Blade, though not combined together the Vaegar masked helmets are the only thing not real, though things very like them existed. The weapons are mainly ok too, though more of them are questionable. The designer does not know how Europeans used lances and the lances in the game are pretty bad.
