Greatest Sequence of 5 Generals

Name 5 great generals whose lifespan overlap, with the preceding one at least a generation older.
Something along the lines of

Prince Eugene - Frederick the Great - Surorov - Napoleon - Lee

You could do this for all eternity.

I chose these ones because they were the most influential in their time and they drew upon the previous ones. Maurice of Nassau is kind of the farthest back I can go thematically because he did not draw inspiration from any immediate predecessor.

Maurice of Nassau - Gustav Adolf/Wallenstein - Turenne/Montecuccoli - Marlborough/Eugene - Frederick - Napoleon - Moltke

The Byzantine had a series of really good generals in the 10th century who each improved on each other's methods. In sequence the best would probably be

John Kourkouas - Nikephoros Phokas - John Tzimiskes - Bardas Skleros - and finally Basil II

I think the greatest succession of just two generals would be Philip - Alexander.

You can add some Successor generals after them, such as Antigonous and Seleucus.

And you can put Epaminondas before them.

So,

Epaminondas - Iphricrates - Philip - Alexander - Seleukos - Antigonus?

Sounds great to me.

But Alexander should be generation older than the one who follows him. Antigonus and Seleucus were both older than him.

Oh, forgot about that. Anyway, I'll stick to my main statement,
