You are a member of an 18th-century boarding party tasked to capture a French or Spanish vessel.
What gun would you take with you? Keep in mind have to choose one type and it has to be a boarding / close combat style weapon.

Standard flintlock pistol

English blunderbuss pistol

Duck's foot pistol

Blunderbuss. An early shotgun that could be loaded with nails, scrap iron or even gravel

Something long-range like Brown Bess.....

.....or the Baker rifle to take out snipers in the rigging?

Or would you go for something more unusual like this?

Grenade launcher

7 shot volley gun
You could also choose something not on the list, as long as it existed during the period and you post a picture of it.

Without doubt, the seven-volley. I'm not the best shot, so the more the better. (Mind you the gun two pics above that looks pretty gruesome.)

Dual wielding flintlock pistols, because I'm cool like that.

Duck's Foot pistol or the standard flint lock. A classic quick shot gun that you can easily beat someone with. Plus you can hook it to your belt as you jump across from ship to ship.
