This is arguable the most eventful century I've done so far, what with War of Spanish Succession,War of Austrian Succession,Seven Years War,American Revolution,French Revolution and subsequent Coalitions etc etc.
So,there will be 2 polls, because there are more than 40 battles. You can vote for however namy battles you want.
The option "Other" will be in the 2nd thread.

Who voted for cartagena? It's good to see others appreciating that tactical genius. I thought I would be alone | | |

I voted for Poltava,Culloden and Leuthen.
Poltava:This battle was a turning point in Baltic history, since it marked Sweden's decline(though I appreciate Louis XII as a king and a commander) and Russia's rise to power.
It was also one of the first battles were the Tsars employed a professional army, instead of relying on conscripts.
Louis XII's escape on a stretcher is really amazing.
Culloden:The last battles where Scottish troops(but not the entire army) fought in their traditional way but were destroyed by the precise British fire.
Leuthen:a great Prussian victory obtained through manouvering and planning, despite the numerical superiority in favour of the Austrians.

I'm reading a book about Renaissance warfare and Louis XII is an important character;I sent him 200 years in the future and in a very colder climate!

Malplaquet, Fontenoy, Rocoux and Leuthen (I could obviously not choose ROssbach, so I chose this one instead).
