jrberton Citizen Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 3	What papers were Germans required to carry under the Nazi regime? Whenever I watch a WWII movie with the SS or Gestapo, they are always asking to see "your papers please". What exactly were those "papers"?

Since july 22nd1938 (RGBI I S. 913) the Kennkarte was introduced as identity card inside germany.
