Well I think the united states should have dropped a Nuke on Hanoi, North Vietnam during the Vietnam war. I say that because North Vietnam would have been nuked then North Vietamises troops would have probally pulled out or would have been confused.

The US should have nucked the whole world.
Just kidding! But yes, you're right nuking Hanoi would definitely cause confusion and you have reminded us all why we don't allow children to run for office.

Yes, because apparently the US should act like a crazy rogue dictatorship like North Korea or something and nuke cities full of innocent civilians because they weren't clearly winning in a war that most its own citizens opposed.
In case you didn't notice, that was sarcasm.

No, we should not have. But to listen to some people talk, you'd think we did.

We were wrong to be in Vietnam to start with. People died, but it does not seem to have served any useful purpose. Yes the war against communism was important, communism is one of the worst diseases mankind has yet unleashed, but Vietnam does not seem to have helped in the war against communism.

Because the unprovoked use of WMDs would have left the Russians and Chinese going 'yeah, we're fine with that!'
Not to mention all of the nations whose ambassadors, envoys, press groups and assorted hippies you've just turned into air polution.
On the plus side you'd have been saved from a John McCain presidential run unless he could register by ouiji board.
