Okay, this is something I always wanted to know. Which army's got the oldest and most ineffective weapons, vehicles and equipment in general? It doesn't mean it's got to be a bad army, it can have a good training or be huge in size.
I am from Argentina and my country's military is awful. They look like the same since 1960. I mean, when I see pics of those lads they remind me more of Vietnam war than the 2010s. But there must be a lot worse armed forces around, who knows? You tell me.

Is this a modern day question? or is it relative to a period?
If its the second I vote the Irish army on the eve of WWII little more than rifles (the IRA even stole much of their ammunition) and the kindest thing to say about the Air Corps was that it wasn't as badly off as the Navy.

Well, if we look at the little countries is too easy.
Sure between two countries with comparable dimensions, populations and geographical context there is a great difference.
Swiss Army is excellent ... Nepalese Army is not exactly at the same level Nepalese Army - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Even if we know that Nepali Gurkhas are very though warriors.

So in reality the Irish are pretty safe without a powerful military of their own.

from a different era the Hussites, peasants who rebelled against their lords and the church for 'FREEDOM!!!!'---- sounds good but usually farmers aginst professional soldiers only had one out come.
In this case the peasants 'kicked ass' and defeated armies of 'armoured knights', they had few cavalry (some minor nobility fought with them such as the outstanding Jan Zizka) so used 'war wagons', As they won they became much better equipped as the picture shows but at the start it was farm tools agianst armour. | | |
