First place has to be the Medieval longsword, of which the Albion Viceroy is my favorite. It's just one gorgeous hunk of steel.

I'm also a big fan of the Indian talwar, it's a fantactic weapon for horseback use capable of doing a ridiculous amount of damage to soft target with seemingly weak blows. Courtesy of that deeply curved blade, and a hilt design promoting use of drawing cuts and a very secure grip.

My favourite sword is the Venetian Schiavona of the 16th century, there is no direct option fo it but I guess that it could fall under "basket-hilt broadsword".
Other swords I like include the Cinquedea, the Kopesh and the Wakizashi.

Also, I like single-edged curved weapons, although I'm not particularly a fan of horseback fighting.

Well wasn't it revealed in deadliest warrior that Kilij is the only sword that can rival Katana?

edit : Also where is Katana in options?

Not a serious post I am assuming. DW is entertainment with little true value coming out of these experts, sometimes liars by self admission.

I love the German/Swiss two-hander. A truly scary weapon.
