Was the battle of Kosovo really an Inconclusive one? This is what historian John Binns said in his book
Which really interested me, considering the fact that the serbians fled after they realised the battle was unsaveable. As
historian Ian Oliver says:
"Losses on both sides were appalling and the outcome inconclusive although the Serbs never fully recovered" - War and Peace in the Balkans: The Diplomacy of Conflict in the Former Yugoslavia
The only reason why i think historians mark it as "Inconclusive" is maybe because of the assasination of Sultan Murad I by a serbian named Miloš Obilić, which ultimately led to the retreat of the Ottomans from the Serbian lands. So on a tactical level i can see why they would make such a statement, but strategically and the aftermath are BY FAR in the favor of the Ottoman Empire as it paved the way for their dominance in the Balkans.
So yeah i'm interested to see what you guys think, i wouldn't say it was inconclusive but maybe you guys have different answers (by the way this is the first thread that i have made so no backlash pls)
