Title says it all, curious if anyone has any thoughts or simulations of what most likely would have followed with Belisarius becoming the Western Emperor. Since Justinian most likely wouldn't have been able to do anything regarding this. cheers

I have recently read about Belisarius, while I was searching I stumbled on something interesting. It was said that Belisarius became a blind man and a beggar after being imprisoned. For such a general this is obviously awful. So is the story true?

Okay, I give up. How on Earth did Belisarius manage to defeat 50,000 Vandals with 15,000 men? How did he manage to chase off another 9,000 with only 2,000? How did he manage to defend Rome with a similar disparity of numbers? This Belisarius must be some kind of super man!
