On the other side of the painting, in the sky, the Butterworth Objects! ;)

And there is a star or UFO painted on Mary's shoulder.
Gotta wonder why, if these are stars, they are painted as dark glowing objects, or with lights.
The tradition was to paint stars as gold or red:

Even the "star" on the Madonna's shoulder is painted dark with bright rays, like the hovering UFO...

WE need them. They are our primary source of Christ deeds. If the Bethlehem star is a flying saucer with a strong light to GPS the magicians to the randevous point then they must be those who brought Christ us. Wow! JCh is an alien!
Lol the story of birth in Bethlehem, and three Kings guided by a star to holy joe 1, are mere inventions. Some time ago, some Russian suggested the star of Bethlehem was a UFO but there wasn’t really any such thing.

No such thing? How's that? Todd Feinman posts a painting with that star of Bethlehem time after time and he's sure it's an UFO.

If he is sure ... personally, thinking to the nature of the "Three Kings" [ancient "astronomers"] I tend to think more to something they noted in the sky. But probably it was a backwards reasoning. The tale in the Gospels is not that easy to prove, to say the least. If we had a reasonable certainty about when Jesus was born [and we haven't got it, there is who even doubts that Jesus existed ...], we could infer to which celestial phenomenon the authore of the Q Gospel [the original one] was thinking when he added the tale of the three personages looking for Jesus.

I've never thought that was the Star of Bethlehem, just a sighting that was considered some divine vision or apparition. I even think it likely that the artist himself witnessed the event, because of the specific details of the UFO, such as lights, and that tilt again.
