Homo ultimate ....we killed off all the others ( and probably ate them too )
Not so fast, I didn't think (Borrowing the lyrics from "Free" in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum")
Evolving Ourselves: How Unnatural Selection and Nonrandom Mutation Change Lives on Earth
by Juan Enriquez and Steve Gullans mentions that
humans may become a few other species in future.
Yuval Noah Harari's Homo Deus often means humans assuming divine power.

I think the name ‘third chimpanzee, gorilla or ape’ is interesting because unlike other names it actually denotes our similarity to another animal or group of, so pulls us away from the concept of being special & unique in nature, an aspect people took for granted & cherished historically until just the previous century really.
Quite like calling dogs small or second wolves or calling domestic cats third tigers or lions isn’t it?

^ yeah, at least according to the fossil record, along with the megafauna. Well the only other hominids we have solid evidence for having coexisted with moderns are Neanderthals & Florensis, along with Denisovans & other ‘ghost hominids’ whom we only know of through DNA. megafaunal disappearance in the Australian archaeological record is surprisingly strongly correlated with that of the arrival of modern humans, they having disappeared in the fossil record some 40,000 or 50,000 years before the fossil discontinuity of the northern hemisphere megafauna, whose disappearance is more coincided with the record for climate change.

Here’s this interesting thread regarding this:
Could cognitive revolution happen in non-sapiens humans?

The Maoris are the classic example ,
not only did they run riot eating the Moas , a chicken large enough to make colonel Sanders weep
they had a good line eating the helpless Chatam's islands inhabitants ,
didn't finish them off quite but made a good try of it .
nowadays they exercise their awesome destructive power on the Rugby field
