some eurocentric scholars claim that towers in the forts were macedonian/greek/alexander innovations and were later copied all around the universe

here we see fort towers existing as early as Indus valley civilization

Bastions and towers along the walls were generally taller than the circuit walls and . served as observation post as well as the points from which missiles could be hurled as at Mohenjodaro

the smaller temple besides the chaitya is a really big indication of bengali do chala roof top being used as far as afghanistan since mauryan periods.

one can see the ribbed inner vault on the interior of the temple, hence probably the roof is constructed using wood there are two wooden arches above the door frame which is left entirely open so it gives us the glimpse of the inner vault.

dont understand the purpose of bengali do chala temple, one can clearly see one of its ends on the left indicating do chala architecture. since no grass is indicated on bengali roof, it can be inferred that the roof is either wooden or made of brick or stone vaults.

similar chaitya temple is also indicated in the ai khanoum indian plate but probably from post mauryan periods
