I was inspired by this speech very much so that I felt the need to share it. During the midst of WW2, the bloodiest war of human history...Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill gathered together in Washington DC in Christmas 1941...to provide a speech to the world.

Fellow workers for freedom, there are many men and women in America, sincere and faithful men and women who are asking themselves this Christmas how can we light our trees...how can we meet and worship with love and uplifted spirits and hearts in a world at war? How can we put the world aside as men and women put the world aside in peaceful years to rejoice in the birth of Christ?

When we make ready our hearts for the labor and suffering and ultimate victory which lay ahead, then we observe Christmas day.
