Completely destroyed cities

So, today I went down a rabbit hole about Aquileia, and I began to wonder, what are some other cities which have been completely razed to the ground? I don't just mean that the buildings were destroyed, but then people moved back and the city became big again (Stalingrad, Berlin etc...). I mean places like the aforementioned Aquileia and Magdeburg, which were so totally destroyed that they never became prominent again, and faded into irrelevance.
