They added them to the British Raj - I don't know if that counts as "Greater India" though.
I think your formulated my doubt better than I. Was Devdas referring to the British Raj when he mentioned “greater India”? I am inclined to interpret his words in that sense, if it wasn’t I don’t know to what he was referring.

Belgium was created by the Belgian Revolution. All the great powers did was ratify its creation.

in my humble opinion the Belgium created in 1831 was the return after some 200 years of an entity being in existence since the peace of Westphalia in 1848 and in fact the consequence of the border between the Republic of the Seven Provinces and the remaining Spanish Netherlands after the fighting. Before the Low Countries were the former Burgund provinces of the Seventeen Provinces, later put together in the Burgundian Kreiz
